Currents I’ve Been Caught In – June 2026

Happy birthday month to me! Going into 33 was an interesting juxtaposition to say the least. With new experiences and uncertainty sit a sense of nostalgia and familiarity. Peace and panic quietly coexist under my skin.

I missed let’s month, so let’s answer the montly question here: what’s got me hooked this month?

An Ignored Road Trip Playlist

I never did a post about it, but I was so excited to see Salem for the first time earlier this month with my friend. We were both so stoked that we made a road trip playlist for our journey.

Let me tell you — it’s the furthest thing from a witchy playlist. It’s a throwback. And the funniest thing about this? We yapped so much that we didn’t bump it all.

It does run nonstop; it’s just my cleaning playlist now.

Writing Again

Getting back into the swing of post writing is a challenge…the good kind, though. I spent years no longer blogging and exercising the writing muscles other than occasional poems. I wrote so little that I almost forgot how important it is for me and my self-expression.

Gaining even a little traffic here again gives me such a smile. I feel happy putting my words out there (albeit sprinkled with fear, as most writers experience). The possibility of my words potentially helping others, though, is priceless.

Fingers crossed 2026 is the year I can (slowly) work towards making it career.

Wildberry Hibiscus Tea

I wish I could get gallons of this stuff from Caf Bar. The flavor is crisp and vibrant, bitter and sweet waltzing in the blend. Sitting at a table with my laptop and tea in hand is indescribable peace. (After years of flight mode, slowing down and working on a passion project is wonderful.)

Zillow

I didn’t think I’d have to look at it again so soon, but here we are. I’ve got a month or two to figure my life out (no pressure). I’ve unintentionally been a nomad for the last year and a half, and hopefully this will help me out.

Trying to find your place in the world is difficult sometimes. Thanks to the spirituality blooming from within, I know I’m taken care of however this happens; the human soul in me just wishes I knew how.

What’s had itself hooked into you this month? If you’re not the type for fixations, what similar tea suggestions do you have for my cabinets at home?
